If test scores are very high like 145+, the curiosity and being a very advanced reader, writer and math skills will make the teacher believe that the kid was not just prepped for tests and that would lead to a high GBRS.
Very high test secures could back fire and go against a kid especially at high SES schools where many kids score 132+.

There's no way to know this, but I suspect kids with crazy-high test scores and work samples and/or GBRS that don't align are at a disadvantage--especially at higher SES schools.

All kids are not that lucky to ditch AAP and choose private. Many parents can’t afford $30 k plus private schools in this area.

OP, surely that is not the case. They have limited capacity for AAP in all schools (center and local level) which is why we have cutoffs and selection panels.

The cost only posters posting on this forum are parents of kids with very high scores who were not admitted.

Hmm...

I think you can draw conclusions from that.

And what makes you think that? Do you have a way to know who prepped and who didn't? Or are you just another troll trying to piss off people.

Anecdotally it appears that everyone got in this year. Does anyone know what the percentage is? It also seems that those rejected appear to have test prepped their kids???
