For a variety of non-COVID reasons we decided to keep DD at her small, relatively low cost daycare in MoCo next year and turned down offers at a few fancier preschools with more qualified teachers. Daycare dropped masks as soon as they were allowed to (located in a public school so they were subject to the MCPS mandate) and I don't see them ever requiring a vaccine that is not required by the state. While I do sometimes wonder if DD would have a better experience at the more expensive preschools, I'm so relieved I don't have to deal with this type of insanity. It's become like a religion for some people.

We have neighbors who have told us stipulations.

Also if you are on the hill MOTH is an excellent resource and Moms are sharing covid protocols at all schools.

Being under 5 is a very - perhaps the most! - effective measure against COVID. You should seek help if you’re “despairing.”

-1. The point is that there isn’t going to be a vaccine for young kids anytime soon. Relax.

It’s too bad every school in dc is trying to force vaccines that are brand new and not FDA approved. At least DCPS is trying to wait until it’s approved. The privates and charters are covid crazy.

We saw this language in the Hill Preschool contract. The OP may be a parent at that school. Totally possible there are others.

Unlike covid where where is evidence of long term damage. Maybe not conclusive but definitely evidence.

You’re clearly not pro-vax, don’t kid yourself.

There’s hardly even a timeline for the under 5 vax… anyone with language about it in a contract at this point is reaching. Reallllly reaching.

We are provax, even under an EUA.

How many preschools in the area are going to require the Covid vax for 5 and under even if it’s for emergency use only?

Im starting to see some requirements built in to contracts and Im not sold.

To be fair, I’m pro vax, but for little kids want to wait for full FDA approval.
