Completely agree with you that the criticism levied at KBJ for her sentencing was unwarranted. And I am someone who is generally for the most harsh sentences possible with sex offenders.
Nice try to Both Sides this. Sorry, the GOP is EXPLICITLY running on an "anti-pedophile" agenda. Note how they seamlessly went from CRT to Q talking points? Add to that the GOP legislation on removing age restrictions on marriage and anti-abortion laws, you cannot compare with Dems.
I get it, party affiliation has become people's identity and if you want to still identify as Republican that's cool. But anyone still VOTING for GOP needs to own this. 👇
Jesus christ- this is so sick! All those rabid GOP lawmakers should be asked about this by every media outlet. But I am afraid, they would not be. Media gives GOP a pass for every crazy things they do and project on Democrats.

Some things to think about when advocating for harsh sentences: Most offenders do not re-offend. Many offenders spend much more time in prison than what they are sentenced to because when going through release (called re-entry from the prisoner’s POV) there are extremely strict laws on where an offender can live and with whom they live when they are released. These strict laws often means it takes years to be released.
