New Balance. Great if you need wide width too.

Mine has had good luck with Asics, New Balance and Saucony. Under Armour didn’t last long for us.

Not cheap, but they get put through the wringer and hold up quite well.

OP - when it's sneaker time, I go to the outlet mall with my sons. They can try on lots of different brands (New Balance, Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, etc.). As they get older, the shoes that fit their feet properly change, and it's nice to be able to knock it out in one afternoon. They have worn NB, Nike, Asics, and Under Armour with zero problems. Their heels lift out of the Adidas so I don't buy those.

Asics seems to be holding up well for my daughter.

OP here. My eldest destroyed every shoes she had since K. Unless I start buying 4 pairs of shoes per year, I have to buy new for my younger. Younger DD wears plenty of hand me downs, but never sneakers.

Big no. Sneakers wear out structurally before your kids will outgrow them in most cases. We get new sneakers every 3-6 months depending on the kid.

ASICS for girls that are runners. New balance also seem to be popular.

For cheaper options that I think hold up well - Mayzero on Amazon. I don’t know how structurally sound they are, but they work well for my kindergartener who is just playing. My older daughter, who runs, wears ASICS.

What are some of your favorite sneakers for this age group? Both my girls are very athletic and are in several sports. I would like to find brands that are not too expensive if possible since it seems I have to buy at least 2 pairs each per year. Thanks!
