It helps reinforces what kids learn. It can augment what they learned in class. It helps to develop organizational and time management skills. It helps to develop discipline and good study habits. It helps develop and strengthen executive functioning skills. It helps the kids take accountability and responsibility for work and deadlines. It helps to develop the skills needed and set the stage for high school.

Anonymous wrote:I have a 6th grader at a different middle school, but I know he gets most of his homework done at school or on the ride home. So may be the case for yours.
