Good reminder. We use waterproof go bags for kayaking, rafting, etc. so good to think about here too.

We are going in late June, so am assuming warm. I am a fanatic about zip pockets now, especially for keys, and I am on land (but those pesky grates and drain holes)!

PS I am super jealous!! Sounds amazing.

Pp already covered it but I cannot stress the need for soft duffles! If you are concerned about the amount of clothes that you can fit in a soft duffle, bring some sink style laundry detergent. We get packs of this on Amazon (Tide) and keep them in all of our travel bags.

Pack -
Refillable water bottle for everyone, assuming you have a water maker
Clips to hang towels/laundry that needs drying
Small portable speaker
Flash light or those pop lights that you can put random places
Half the clothes you want and double the cash

Assuming that this isn’t an oligarch superyacht (and even then, most of this would still apply), my advice is to pack very light. You probably aren’t going to have a lot of space for storage. Try to pack a soft bag, like a duffel bag, vs. a roll on type. Easier to stash away and won’t scratch the deck on the boat. Take a pair of deck shoes or similar that have non-skid & non-marking soles (to protect you and the decks). Barefoot also works, but you’ll need shoes that will stay on your feet as you get on and off the boat onto a deck or launch (this is a long way of saying, don’t take a cute pair of flip flops as your only shoes).

Layers. The temperature on the water can change quickly. It can be hot when you’re becalmed at anchor, but can also get cool quickly when there’s a breeze or a storm. A waterproof top layer is good, but isn’t absolutely necessary if it’s a really warm time of year (you didn’t say when you were going).

Don’t underestimate the strength of the sun reflecting off the water — sunscreen & sunglasses are important.

The water has an almost magnetic attraction for electronic devices & keys, etc. especially when boarding, so think about how you’re going to keep things secure. Pockets that button or zip or a cross-body bag that closes securely work. There’s a reason sailors wear those nerdy croakies to keep their sunglasses on. They make tiny little bungie cords for hats, as well. If you want to spend some $$ on gear, check out West Marine (anywhere) or Fawcett in Annapolis.

If you’re susceptible to motion sickness, talk to your doctor about medication. The patches seem to work.

I've done it twice, but not sure what tips to offer. I assume the itinerary is set and there's an on-board chef so recommending restaurants or towns to visit would not be helpful.
