I.E.P's are generally based on umbrella categories, medical interventions are based on diagnoses, but sometimes all you have is a list of symptoms.

Subject: What are considered medical diagnosis?
autism
adhd hyperactive, inattentive or combined
anxiety
hypotonia
apraxia
speech disorder, e.g. mixed expressive or receptive language disorder
learning disorder
sensory disorder
dyslexia
developmental delay or developmental disorder
My 3 kids have these diagnosis/labels, and I wonder which ones are considered medical diagnosis that is covered by insurance considered medically necessary? And, which ones are considered for IEP that is renewed/reviewed annually?
They are young now (under 8), and I am concerned one day insurance may not cover their weekly therapies due to they are not considered medically necessary or IEP may not considered them as diagnosis as well.
