If you go from a minivan to a traverse, you have to take into account the space you lose as far as seating and carrying stuff like luggage. Is it possible for you to rent one from a place maybe out of state? Here in Florida where I live I know you can rent a lot of the vans with ramps, I wonder if any of the places have a traverse you could try out. Even if you had to travel to do it.

This is so weird because before I finished reading, I thought a Toyota Sienna was a better option than a Traverse. They're both big cars, but the Traverse feels like more of a boat than the Sienna.

Oddly, I have one sister with a Sienna and another with a Traverse. I've driven both when visit them. The Sienna is easier to adjust to (I drive a mid-size SUV at home).

Reliability wise, I haven't hear either of them complain about them needing excessive time in the shop.

It definitely handles more like a truck. Unlike the minivans which handle more like cars, especially Honda. My parents have a Traverse. I personally don’t like it but they like it fine.

My husband has a 2017 traverse that he loves. Never in the shop. I don’t find the brakes as responsive as my Subaru.

I can only drive wheelchair modified vehicles which makes my selection in vehicles extremely limited. In the past the only options were The dodge caravan or Chrysler town and country. Both spent so much time in the shop that I’m hesitant to even try the new Pacifica. I have had a Honda Odyssey and liked it but it feels very big when driving it and has a lot of blind spots. Currently I’m driving a Toyota Sienna and like how it handles. Recently the company that does modifications has started putting ramp systems in the Chevy traverse. I’m intrigued by not having to drive another minivan. Unfortunately I can’t test drive the car before driving. Can anyone who has driven the odyssey or sienna tell me how the traverse compares? Also how reliable a car is it? The sienna and Honda are rarely in the shop compared to the caravan that seemed to Live there. Thanks.
