Agree with this, middle of the road in terms of academic rigor, which hurts college placement a bit. Kids that go there seem to love it.

And the IB diploma program is phenomenal- great curriculum

In upper school, kids have chapel once/week. Very open and accepting - typical Episcopalian. There are opportunities to get more involved for those who want. If you took away the 40 min chapel period, though, my DS would have no idea the school was Episcopalian.

The ward arts center is excellent and the school has a solid theater and dance program.

Solid all-around school. Good dynamics with both coed and single sex environments with the adjoining girls' school and coed lower school. Large arts center on campus shared between the schools. Like most Episcopalian schools, it is not dogmatic and there will be a range of faith backgrounds in the student body, but it is still a spiritual school with chapel.

Looking for basic information on experience and atmosphere for middle and high school. How prevalent is the religious bent to the school?
How structured are the academics and the arts?
