When I bought my crate and barrel Lounge 9ish years ago I confirmed it was USA bench made with hand tied springs. That might have changed since then.

I love down for throw pillows but I think down couches tend to look sloppy if not constantly plumped, so I was happy with foam cushions but obviously you’re entitled to your preference

I have had a Metro from RB for 8 years. We have kids, dogs and cats. It has held up really well. I did replace the cushion inserts after 5 years and gotten it cleaned twice. My family only gets RB because they hold up. Something that is really soft and plushy may not hold up as well as something firm, and the fabric choice may fade, get scratched, etc, but we did a microfiber for the cats and have had really no problems with stains or anything.

I believe Bernhardt sofas have this- check out Hamilton and Belfort.

My wife and I are currently - fortunately or not - for a new sectional couch for our new larger living room.

I think the quality of R&B, Arhaus, and Ethan Allen are all fairly good although can vary depending on the model selected.

One point of quality I'm stuck on is finding a couch with a sinuous coil suspension and spring & down cushions, rather than the popular flexolator suspension & foam cushions. Both R&B and Arhaus have these on a couple models (Linger & Stevens and Paxton & Brentwood respectively), while Ethan Allen doesn't specify what their exact suspension system is.

Anyone have experience in this area? Is it worth seeking our sinuous suspensions over flexolator suspensions and is there a brand I'm conspicuously not considering?
