Lipo PP here. I heard this too, and I have to say it's true. Not a big deal on me, but I have seen that the I have more fat on the top of my hips than before I did it. It's still preferable to the significant saddlebags I had. So worth the trade off.

I did outer thigh only, in office, local anesthesia. Very easy process. The pressure garments are easy, it's the oozing afterwards for a period of time that makes it harder to go back to work quickly. Ask your surgeon about that and see what he/she says.

I’ve had to delay my tummy tuck and thigh lipo because of recovery time logistics and now thinking of splitting this into two phases.

Anyone do just thigh lipo? Was it in office or hospital? Did they put you under?

What was recovery like? Could you go back to work in a day or two?

I understand I’d need to wear compression garments for a bit.
