I wouldn’t. But kids for whom it is a good fit can’t consider it unless they have heard of it. So maybe this recognition will help kids without perfect resumes or parents financing college will take a look.

There is no reason to make snide remarks (unless you are a Perdue fan, I guess). It’s not a great dance without a Cinderella story and plenty of people root for teams from colleges there kids would never attend. If you can’t say something nice, zip it.

Admits 81% of applicants and test scores equal the national averages 1000 SAT/20 ACT. Based on DCUM posts, we sometimes forget what defines average.

It will give them a boost. Happened to GMU, which became less of a commuter school.

Their coach was ok the seton hall team 22 years ago.

I knew a guy who went to St. Peter’s prep who was from that rough area of jersey. His family was in the mob.

It's Jesuit, and it's diverse (47% Hispanic, 18% Black, 8% Asian), with a large percentage of pell grant recipients (64%) and first-gen students (55%). Fantastic to see the school get this attention!

A friend of mine’s dad went there and played basketball. He’s pretty excited.

Nothing like GMU — only 2300 students!

It's described as a commuter school. Maybe like the GMU of old?

One of my MBA classmates went there. She was from NJ of course. I recall she had worked her way through college and lived at home. Very smart and ambitious.

I'm from New Jersey and even for me I had to look the school up...granted South Jersey, but still! Says a lot. Definitely rooting for them- love the underdog.

Watching the game last night and looked them up. Does anyone have experience with the school?
