Currently in LCPS, gifted students in ES go to a center one day a week for enrichment. This is supposed to move to a school-based enrichment, but at a school that size, the gifted teacher won't be there full time--some of the schoolwide staff like specialists and the counselor are actually only there part-time. It's tiny, so staff will get to know your child extremely well and the community is strong. But if there are conflicts with other students, you can't just hope for a different mix of kids in their class the next school year. I have known staff and families who were very happy there.

There is no AAP in Loudoun. In general, the smaller the school the fewer the opportunities for advanced programs generally. Hamilton is literally so tiny. You should probably drive out and actually look at it

Can anyone give me any insight on this school? I really like the idea of a small school. Ratings are somewhat low, but I guess it’s because it only has 180 students? My kid is in AAP right now. Does this school offer advanced track for math/reading?
