Visible sweat in uncomfortable places.

Skorts (i.e., the appearance of a skirt) is just more flattering on some people than shorts.

OP here. I wouldn't flame you

I didn't get it either until I got a Clamber skort from Title Nine a number of years ago and loved it. It is pretty short compared to the Athleta ones I've seen but I was in much better shape back then so it was great for really hot summer days -- cooler than shorts, but gave me the freedom to bike w/my kid or sit on the ground which I never really feel comfortable doing if wearing a regular skirt. And, the inner shorts kept my inner thighs from rubbing together and getting grossly sweaty on really hot days. No more thigh sweat is a good thing!

Buy a bigger size. Not being rude, but that's what the issue is indicating.

Or find a skort that comes in Long, as the shorts might be longer?

Not the PP but my thighs rub whether the clothes are size x or size y. Its not really size. If I were to walk 3 miles in hot and humid weather naked- I would probably still chafe.
Also to the PP have you tried anti-chafe rubs/salves?

I have quite a few pairs of athleta skorts that I've accumulated over the years. One with big pockets that I always wear on vacations, 1 is sporty looking, others are more straight lined. Started wearing them after having kids and found them to be easy to wear and launder in the summer.

Looking for something I can wear on long walks this summer. Anyone tried Athleta shorts?

Specifically looking at the 'all day skort':

I don't like the flared skirt look unless you are actually playing tennis or a racquet sport. I think the straighter ones are much cuter, and you may have to size up but is still flattering. Lululemon also just released a skort that is similar to their swifty shorts that is really cute, and comes in a longer length. Some of the lululemon skorts are way too short for my taste (in my 30s, also tall, not trying to look like a sorority girl).

I'll have to look at the Lululemon skort. I like the Athleta ones, but only buy them in tall because I'm 5'11"

I have one and never wear it. It's terribly unflattering on me. I'm 5'5" and have kind of small proportions ... I'm a size 2 but muscular.

I live in their skorts in the summer! I’ve been wearing them for many years - they are great quality and will last.

I wear the Ace tennis skort for tennis and love it. I am also thicker through the thighs/butt and it looks flattering and stays in place. It seems similar enough to the All Day Skort that I think you should try it.

I have one I wear for golf and I like it even though I’m not really a skort person. The shorts underneath have good grippers on them and they stay in place better than other ones I have. The one I have is similar to this. https://athleta.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=657545002&cid=86354&pcid=86354&vid=1&nav=hamnav%3ABottoms%3ACATEGORIES%3ASkirts%20%26%20Skorts%20&cpos=16&cexp=1501&kcid=CategoryIDs%3D86354&cvar=11273&ctype=Listing&cpid=res22032506495412192538106#pdp-page-content
