Totally. Quit her job at Magruder mid year to run for office in the name of supporting students. No thank you.

Yang sounds so dedicated Totally got my vote.

lol. Troll.

Too many BoE members are out-of-touch with reality, either being retired or SAHPs. We should only be electing working parents to the BoE, but we obvious have a problem with adverse selection due to the significant time demands and low pay for being a board member.

How are SAHPs out of touch with reality? I personally spend lots of time with my and other actual children and volunteer regularly in the schools. Your random job that has nothing to do with education doesn’t really qualify you for a BOE position.

Hey, Docca's only 80 years old and doesn't even use email. How are you saying she's out of touch?

How much does it pay?

If ‘good’ means keeping the school doors closed for 17 months then no thank you. A vote for MCEA is a vote against kids.

Were either on the Apple ballot?

No, Sunil Dasgupta was the only BOE candidate on the Apple Ballot In 2020.

I was just looking at Yang, who is the one competing against Joftus. She has the MCEA endorsement, so I guess I'll be voting for Joftus. Also, she got Docca to endorse her, which I think is crazy--why would anyone want her endorsement? She falls asleep at BOE meetings! My goodness.

Fryar has YouTube videos. You should watch them.

These are the most likely candidates for 3 and 5:
District 3 - Julie Yang
District 5 - Valerie M. Coll

But does anyone know about the stance these candidates are taking?
District 1 - Jay Guan vs Grace Rivera-Oven
At Large - Michael Fryar vs J. Domenic Giandomenico
