Writing this from SoCal, but Hyundai drivers around these parts are atrocious.

I believe you're thinking of BMWs.

2007 Accent is still motoring along just fine. The exterior and trim type stuff has taken a beating but hardly any issues mechanically.

For what it's worth, we have a 2019 Genesis G80 3.3T and love it. Great family car.

THIS. Garbage car for people with bad credit. We interviewed a nanny who looked very promising on zoom, but she showed up in a Hyundai when we met her in person. Needless to say, she didn’t get the job.

I hope this is a joke.

My little Hyundai Elantra hatchback is still the favorite car I ever had, and I own a Honda Fit now. Driving with the sunroof open, everything packed up tight in the hatchback, toddler asleep in a carseat in the back, coming home from some long trip or just the grocery store -- those were good days. Excellent car imho. (I don't think they make Elantra hatchbacks anymore though.)

I bought an Elantra as my first car in 2022 and just retired it, although it was still working fine. It was very reliable for all those years and didn't require much in maintenance/repairs. Considering a Santa Fe for our next family car.

I had a Hyundai Accent and now I have a Tucson. I absolutely love Hyundai. Both cars have been incredibly reliable.

My first car was an Elantra. I bought it new in 2003. We still have it as an extra car! I have been very happy with it and have had only minor problems. I'd defnitely buy another one. In fact we're looking for a new SUV and are definitely including Hyundais (currently have a used Honda which we also love).

My family needs to buy a second car now that we've moved out of the city. We have a Honda CRV that we love, it is perfect for our family of two adults and 2 small kids. We don't need an SUV for our second vehicle, and are looking at four door sedans. We are looking to buy a certified pre-owned car, can't quite swing new with current prices. We would love another Honda but it looks like Hyundais are in our budget of 20k and Hondas and Toyotas are not. Is a Hyundai a good, reliable car? Any advice would be helpful.
