Cursive writing? Grammar? Phonics? Science topics that are not part of the curriculum?

I want my child to learn really basic level foreign language, can I get a tutor for that? My child is in ES, so there is no foreign language elective yet.

Can I request tutor on subjects that school curriculum has not taught yet? What does tutor do, just like teacher teaching everything based on curriculum or mostly answer questions if kid ever ask?

Anyone has used the free tutoring services yet? How is it? Do I need homeroom teacher referral to sign up? And anyone knows who are those tutors, adults or higher grade students like from MS/HS?

Will they provide above grade enrichment or focus on current grade level learning?

And, kid can ask tutor anything on the subject even it is above grade level or work on articulation speech on reading material right? DC has speech problem with IEP. How long is the tutoring, only ends at June the semester end or till next school year?

Both are useless and total waste of time. Tutors were not competent at all and created a lot of confusion for my DC

That's to bad. The one tutor we got is fantastic. We have a second tutor we are going to try for another subject.

Apply for both and see who gives you tutor first. Not sure how long it lasts. No requirements on if child is on grade level, above, below. It is for everyone.

All students now have access to free tutoring and 24/7 homework help to support success in their current courses/grade level, through two tutoring providers, FEV Tutor and Tutor Me Education. As part of comprehensive strategies to mitigate learning disruption, all students will have access to these virtual tutoring services through their MCPS Google account, using Clever. Some students will also be referred directly by their local school.

MCPS is offering 1-1 tutoring with no limit. You have no idea what you are talking about. Sign up through the portal.

We are using it. We have one tutor twice a week who is fantastic. Just getting set up with a math tutor.

You just go online through the MCPS portal and sign up directly with the company. Sign up with both companies to see who will get you a tutor first.

They are adult tutors.

Its worth trying just because its free and 1-1 attention.
