The name Nicola is primarily a gender-neutral name of English origin that means Victory Of The People. Except the gendre neutral part, have only met girls with this name.

I REALLY dislike this one. Sounds so blue collar Jersey Italian-American. Maybe because I know so many of those that have named their kids this. (Including Snooki of trash TV fame, I think. Or maybe that's her DH. Can't remember)
