Subject: Can I park at Takoma Park, SS, Forest Glen, and Glenmont metro stations?
The Wheaton garage is not the safest of places. Even if you move to Wheaton I would suggest driving to the Forest Glen station and parking there.

TP "kind of sucks" because it doesn't have commuter parking? Because it is "served by a lot of buses?" Something else?
To me, both of those things seem like advantages -- no throngs of people driving in to park, yet access to multiple forms of public transportation for residents who'd prefer not to drive.
Because its residents are hypocrites. They don't take buses. They drive to work. Ever seen the drop off line at TPMS? No, those aren't all drivers from other pars of the county. They don't want other people parking at the metro, so there are no parking spaces. And no, I'm not jealous. I live there.

Cameron Street garage isn't much further from the to the SS's other metro entrance and depending where you are coming from, might be a good option. Also several office buildings nearby offer monthly parking options (or at least did pre COVID).

In The Before Times, Forest Glen's parking lot would be filled at 7:45-8am.
Wheaton never did. Even pre pandemic. Glenmont also filled daily pretty early.

Wheaton and Glenmont have huge garages so there’s always parking available. Forest Glen used to fill up quickly pre-pandemic but there’s plenty of spots now.

I commute from Wheaton and the entire garage is basically empty every day. A neighbor said Forest Glen has plenty of parking as well.

I don’t just mean does metro have a parking lot. I mean is there any parking I can pay for, and/or if metro has a lot, are there spaces available? I am house hunting and want to know which of these I could drive to and commute in. Thanks!
