Unless the CVT failed, the wheels bearings wore out, the CV joints went to sh!t or the head gaskets started leaking, like on literally EVERY Subaru I've owned![]()
But you buy Subarus again and again…not Prius primes…. Must be a reason why

The OEM tires are the reason it’s so awful in snow. If you actually used decent winter tires instead of the hard-compound low rolling resistance tires they come with (for sake of fuel efficiency) they actually do just fine in snow.
