Let them help prepare meals with you. Grocery shop with you. Plant a small garden. Bake with you.

Spend a great deal of time outdoors. Go out exploring and introduce them to a variety of experiences and things.

I'm the one who suggested the youtube videos. Many of them are nursery rhymes, simple songs, or books being read aloud, and many have static images instead of animation. I play things like those while kids build with blocks, use play dough or do other fine and gross motor skill activities. I agree, having young children watch youtube continuously is not a fantastic idea at all.

A toddler is 2 a preschool is 3-4, these are very different ages. If you have a 4yo preparing for K in Sept your needs will be different from what you need for a toddler. Why would you homeschool this age? Let them learn thru play. Pinterest is your friend.

At this age, the best learning is outside in nature or the kitchen. Make it fun!

The curriculum should be playing with a variety of things. Small motor skill things like play-doh, and large motor skill things like tumbling, dancing, swim, etc. They should play with musical instruments, dress up, things that promote eye-hand coordination like playing catch with stuffed animals, rolling a ball back and forth between you, etc.

PLAY. Sitting at a table drilling on work sheets is not the way.

There are a ton of alphabet, number, color and shape worksheets online. Khan Academy Kids is a free app for age 2 through second grade. There are tons of youtube videos for toddlers and preschoolers. And there are so, so many blogs with parents posting activities that work on fine and gross motor skills, socialization, etc.
