We redid 2 bathrooms but needed plumbing redone. Got bids in September and locked one down then. They were backed up so while the work only took 4 weeks, we ordered stuff to arrive before work started. We had to re order tile as the original we ordered came broken and was no longer in stock. We were supposed to do the work in December, ended up doing it end of January into February. It’s was $75k, but we were adding a shower on a wall that had water but no shower before.

What people paid even a couple of years ago is irrelevant in the current climate. I’d budget at least $50-60k for the whole project.

Two full baths was 20k and it took three weeks. In 2018, so recent ish but pre COVID.

Agree that it totally depends on location. DC, Arlington, Bethesda, McLean, etc. will get charged way more. Friend in DC is currently renovating 2 smallish bathrooms (no changing of pipes) and there's been delays on certain fixtures that he pre-ordered (tiles, certain toilets, vanities). His quotes were all over the place. $40k to $65K just for labor (excluded cost of materials which he ordered and paid for directly from outside vendors). It was at least 20% higher since pre-COVID estimates.

Estimate will vary widely. You didn't tell us how big your bathrooms are and there is a huge price range in cabinets, tiles, fixtures, etc. Demo is expensive if you have mud set tiles that need to come out. If you are in the DC area, even a tiny bathroom is going to be ~$10,000 right now. I would plan on 4ish weeks if you can get all the supplies when you need them.

We got our 5X8 bathroom remodeled. It took a couple of weeks and just over $10,000. We had everything replaced.

We just did this and I would say to estimate $20-30K each for the two full baths for all materials (tile, flooring, vanity, toilet, shower/tub, fixtures, etc). We did heated floors in our master bath which I fought DH on as being frivolous, but I truly love them and am glad we did it. I think our powder room was around $15K which included wallpaper which can be expensive.

I can’t speak to timing for the work since we did much more than just the bathrooms, but will definitely say the time to find and secure the contractor and get permits and then start was about 2.5 months. The contractors are very busy so it took a little while to get them to come out to us and get an estimate and then have them start.

PP - I would say about 4-5 weeks total time once they started. We had no issues or delays.

We did two full baths about 3 years ago - All in $40k. One was double sinks (our master) and upgraded tile and heated floor. The other was our kids small bath with tub.

When was the house built? Depends on whether you're going to need to bring electrical, plumbing, ventilation up to code.

About three weeks, approx. 35k but that was 6 years ago.
