Ask her if she thinks it's time to shop for a bralette, or see what she's comfortable with.

As a mother I think she can talk to her daughter about her changing body.

And a mother should.

I still remember bra shopping with my mom- I felt so grown up!

She just said that she thinks it's time for me to pick out some bras. We went to Kohls and the sales lady was so nice. Then my mom and I went to get starbucks and saw a movie. It was a really positive experience.

+1 or just order/ pick some up, depending on how you handle shopping for other basics like socks and underwear.

There's no need to tell a tween girl, "I notice you're getting boobies!"

DD and I have a very open dialogue. She knows what a period is, a maxi pad, and she knows she is developing. I got her comfy pull-on racer back bras as trainers. Today she tried on period underwear I bought online. She is 10. No period yet. I don't understand not commenting. Sounds like avoidance.

OP sounds like a creepy male pedo.

I agree mention it indirectly as taking her bra or bralette shopping, not commenting on her body, that would have embarrassed me at that age.

I told her she can choose to wear bralettes or not because of the changes. I guess a little bit of an indirect way of telling her.

We have read several books and have had some ahead of time conversations but now that it it happening I don’t know what to do or say. Certainly she has noticed, right?
We change in front of each other (we have talked about stopping when/if she wants privacy). I can see it’s happening and I try to avoid looking to not make her feel subconscious but is it time to say something?
