Potomac ES is a shiny new school but it's so crowded.
I have one kid with 30/ class, another at 28/class and kinder at 25/class. They have Chinese immersion which many people love.
Teachers are great though. Had recent HIGH lead levels in the water ( not new to any MCPS school, check the reports before you send your kid) but they blocked off that water fountain.
Can't speak for middle schools or the other ES.

I think the main difference is at Pyle you'll end up at Whitman, whereas Hoover goes to Churchill.
Both are great schools, but my preference would be Churchill.

They are both excellent schools with active PTAs and well-funded school foundations that do a lot for the community. Parents sometimes say Carderock feels like a private school and having one child there and another older at private I would agree.

Hello we are new to area and looking at homes that either feed to potomac/hoover or carderock/pyle. Can anyone help us learn about these schools? Class size? Quality of teachers? Environment for students. Anything...please don't be shy about the good and the bad!
