Yes, this could do more harm than good. “Faith based” help often has little to do with help, but with making the teen feel that she’s sinned and guilty.

I think it depends on what type of drugs and why he’s using them. Your options are range from nothing to drug treatment programs. Ours went to a residential treatment program. But he still uses marijuana at times - it is the most effective thing for his anxiety.

I don’t really know. Is a weekend getaway or family vacation- somewhere close to nature - hiking, beach, rock climbing? Time just to be away from the rut/routine and distractions? Counseling for child - and for parents. Pandemic has been tough

What worked or didn't? Teen has no life, is disengaged from family.
How do you get them back on the right path and be part of the family before heading off to college?

We feel like failures very sad.
