Yeah, this is not exactly an isolated incident. Something perverse is going on. The existence of real racism and injustice is somehow inducing people engage in fakes to make a point...or something like that.

Good question. The judge even discussed this in his sentencing speech.
She should be fired. But, more likely nothing will happen to her.

Rolls eyes the OP listed the most serious penalty last that's why. Jussie has 30 months - so 2 1/2 years of probation but also 150 days - so 5 months in prison. Not bad. I think its a fair sentence.
OP here. I listed them in the order the judge stated them.

Fined $25,000.
Serve 151 in Cooke County jail.
Smollett went off after sentencing yelling he is not suicidal and if anything happens to him in jail it will not be suicide.
