You don’t know your facts. Selected worst curricula (developed their own and failed) hung onto it for 10 years; had kids data completely hacked in 2015 including all special education information: Damascus rape cover up; special education rape by bus drivers (covered up); bus camera no-bid contract to a private firm in Texas: I could go on but that’s enough for now.
Apparently I do as the board agreed with me unanimously.
This is the same board that picked Alban. We shall see how this turns out. Doubt very good given MCPS culture towards special Ed children.
You do realize that most top educators will pass through MCPS at some point in their career, right? Markoe also spent some time in MCPS.
Alban spent more time with HCPS than MCPS.
Right. But the search was national. Last time I checked Massachusetts was the top ranked state in the Nation. Why always second fiddle folks from MCPS?
I think local is usually preferred as they may better understand the community’s needs. If you look at most superintendents they’re “local” in that they have served the state or surrounding states for years.
Also Mass pays educators way more than MD. Doubt their best would come here.
