From what I understand as an adult now, FIL probably told his AP half lies about his situation.
AP probably believed most of it and may have theoretically thought she was engaging within a period of a safe zone when in fact he was still very much married with a family.
Or maybe that's giving her too much credit? and she knew but still proceeded?
Either way there was overlap in the time they started their relationship. FIL was still going out with his family and holding and kissing his wife while also cheating with AP.

Whatever you have just destroy it and throw it all away; this will only hurt your husband or maybe your kids depending on who finds it.

Now that MIL is gone and knowing and disseminating that information would only cause friction then yes, I would drop it.

If your MIL told you that she had proof that her DH was cheating on her. (phone records, receipts at hotels) Then she passed away and your FIL ended up marrying the woman he cheated with. The right way to move on is to keep that info to yourself, right?
