Some definitely are as there is revenge porn involving grade 8 youth. DD has shown me social media of sexually active grade 8 youth. It is disturbing as I believe they are too young to process the complex emotions involved.

My DC is not and we talk about related issues often.

Any yes, 8th graders are having sex. One of my son’s friends has parents who allow him to bring girls into his bedroom with the door shut. When asked about it, this 13 year olds dad shrugged and said was fine with his son having sex in his bedroom whenever he wanted. So, yes, it happening and you cannot trust that other parents have even half a brain.

I wasn’t. I hadn’t even kissed a boy in 8th grade. But a friend told me she was performing oral sex in 8th.

I'm not sure if they are but I have had a good chat with my 7th grade dd recently about consent, boundaries, taking things very slowly if she dates someone etc. I feel that 8th is when dating really takes off.

Are they having *** ? Will you have the talk with them or are they still too young? When I was in 8th grade a few of the kids were doing it, but is it less common now?
