Correct! I have tried Lowes but I’m just not 100% sure that the color matching is perfect.

We painted a few rooms so had some different colors: snowbound as our basic white, accessible beige for most of the living and dining room, and retreat for one wall. They all were good although I think we could have gone a little darker with the accessible beige walls to provide more contrast with snowbound. Good luck with your project.


I did accessible beige in my north facing kitchen with alabaster ceiling and snowbound on the trim and doors. I get a pretty good contrast but I have dark cabinets, floors in a north facing room w lots of windows/doors.

Balanced beige is supposed to be a deeper color from accessible beige and aesthetic white or city loft a lighter shade.

Thanks. This is a good idea. I tried a sample pot from Lowes but it didn’t seem as accurate. It was a white and I was painting it over a white so that could’ve been an issue.

You could also buy the paint sample(s) and large art project paper, paint it and place in in different locations along the walls in your room.

If I were doing either I would buy a couple in the same color to make sure the color works well in the room with furnishing and location.

They’re accurate but pretty small. I used them and didn’t really get a great sense of what it would actually look like. Better than the chip card, for sure, but not as good as painting a real swatch. Just my two cents.

How accurate do you think the samplize decals are? I believe they are painted on whereas SW’s is just printed screen color.
