This. The waitlist moves because you have to withdraw to accept AT or IB. No one at HB is giving up their spot in high school when ten neighborhood high schools are exploding in size.

My child was number 3 on the waitlist for 9th grade...moved to number 2 after the initial 2 week acceptance period. I thought there would be some movement over the summer or at the beginning of the school year but DC is still number 2 on the waitlist.

wow - I just looked it up and my kid dropped 20 spots! still a high number but not quite as high as before.

Recent conversations have made me think that more people leave HB for HS than I thought. Our low-2-digit WL number suddenly looks in play. Does anyone know how many students typically leave HB after 8th grade?
