I’m surprised no one ever stood up for this group and would love to see politicians advocating for it on local and National level.

Conservatives do for sure. Feminists. Nope

I wonder if feminists would advocate for SAHDs?

This one does! Choice. If you can do it and want to do it then go for it. Whether dad or mom.

The U.S. is one of the few developed countries without a paid family leave policy. Stay at home parents would benefit from it since it would allow the working parent to take leave and help the SAHP.

Isn’t it about time for them to stand up for their rights and for others to acknowledge and support it?

In short, no. Remember when Hillary bragged that she decided not to stay home and bake cookies?

That’s just dismissing, minimizing and disrespecting their role in society. Btw what’s wrong with warm and delicious home made cookies?

What’s wrong is when society expects it of you just because you are a woman.

I fully support both men’s and women’s right to stay home and bake cookies if that's what they want.

If they are real feminists, they should.

Just similar rights as others? For starters long due respect and acknowledgment of their historic contributions to this country.

You won’t get support for this. It’s assumed all SAH moms are rich and privileged.

My wife is a SAHM, despite being a Smith grad with a law degree. Wow, I feel great about myself now.
