So if you already have an SUV now, why is it imperative to get a new one by the end of April?

Op here: I currently have a 2017 Ford Escape that has had issue after issue since the month I bought it (2018). I am 100% getting rid of it before baby comes. Before this car, I had a Mazda CX-5 and before that, a CX-7. I absolutely LOVED my Mazda CX-5 and would get another in a heartbeat but we went to 2 local dealers who have them within an hour of us 2 weekends ago and their selection is so low right now. So just looking for some other similar options.
