Harris Teeter is cheaper if you shop the BOGO (at other stores means buy one get one, at HT means 50% off only one). Harris Teeter doesn't have abundant kohlrabi like Wegmans though.Anonymous wrote:Its cheaper then Giant/Safeway/Harris Teeter. When I run in those places, I am always shocked by the checkout total for just a few items.
Yes with signed up Amex offers, freshpass is $30 off all Albertson's (Safeway's parent) properties except Balducci's. Then freshpass gives $30 off $80, $25 off $75, $20 off from rewards triplings, $60 off if you shop each month ($5*12), etc.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Safeway is cheaper if you have an Amex, do freshpass, and shop the specials. Wegmans however, has VERY good eggrolls, snowcrab, and oysters. Prices on some cereals are pretty good.
Wait, I have an Amex. Why is Safeway cheaper with an Amex? (NP)

What are your go-to items from Wegmans and are they worth the cost? I'm trying to decide if I should go back or just stick with Safeway.
Well it’s not as good as it used to be, but 10 times better than Safeway. Go to’s are the prepared foods. Hot wings. Prepared salads. Prepared quiches. Sumo oranges (those could be at Safeway). Pink pineapples. Fresh cookies. Cheese shop. Fresh pesto. Wine guys are super nice and helpful. Pharmacy customer service is top notch. This review is for Sterling and Leesburg locations.
