We went for my daughter's 6th birthday. She LOVED it and wants to go back every year. It's like Disney on Ice where it's sort of painful for the adults (unless you're into that very specific kind of campiness), but it's worth it occasionally for how much the kids love it. We did not do priority seating, but did pay to meet the queen before the show and DD loved loved that. Took the certificate of knighthood that they gave her to her kindergarten class the next day.

We love the MD ren faire and it's not as spectacular as that, but the horses and falconry is impressive and the horses seem well treated. No ethical qualms about returning, but agree with others that an alcoholic drink or two helps.

Same for our family! We enjoy how fun and campy it is. The food is decent and the kids get a kick out of the show! I would not pay for a priority seats because you can watch it from anywhere.

This thread is quite a change from the doom and gloom of current news.

I made my husband take me. It’s so campy! I don’t think we had priority seating. Not sure it would be worth it. If you follow the evening up with a monster truck show, it would be a blast! Enjoy!!

We go every year for my DS birthday.
The horses are magnificent and so is the falconry. Really knock out.
If you can ignore the scripted characters with bad accents (a drink helps) you're onto a winner.

If they are still at reduced capacity then you definitely don't need to.

I went once about 12 years ago. I enjoyed it and would recommend it. However, I would not pay for special seating. The way the arena is arranged all seats are good seats.

Yes, the horses are treated well. They are in good condition and well groomed. The riders are very competent, too.

priority seating means your kid is more likely to get the sash from the winning "knight" at the end of the joust, if you're sitting in the winners section.

There is literally zero other benefit.

You can see from everywhere.

We are going to Medieval Times in Baltimore and deciding if it is worth it to pay for the better seats. Anyone have experience there? There are regular seats and then three price points for priority seating. Is it worth it? Mostly I just want to know that the kids can see from the regular seats.
