OP - Tres Bien! I wish my French was better so I could do that as well.

However, I am hoping for specific links and articles that English speaking teens may appreciate.

It is great that your children are well informed about current events. We value education but probably need to focus more on discussing major world events with our teen.

Or are you xenophobic and have a problem with foreigners posting on DCUM, which is a website founded by an American and his foreign-born wife (from Georgia, no less)? One change in our household now will be to read The Gulag Archipelago (or re-read in my case).

You talk about it by going back to the beginning: Peter the greats attempt at a warm water port and the evolution of Russia as a “modern country” in the 400 years following.

Sadly, Russia is often the first to be dropped in a SS curriculum.

I found some good articles with brief modern history of Russia and geography that are contributing to Putin’s violent invasion of a sovereign country of 40 million people under the pretext of protecting Russia (NATO is a defense alliance not an aggressive military alliance) and “liberating” Ukraine from democracy.

The level of misinformation/ propaganda online, largely sponsored by the Kremlin, is frightening.

What resources are you using to discuss this dark hour in European history?
