Did you not see the part about exception for high achievement in low paying field? Not PP, but I would assume a pediatrician is considered high achieving.

I'm also a woman and I agree with this. I wasn't interested in dating anyone who had mommy and daddy chipping in on their rent, or who was always carrying a credit card balance. If you make $30k and have figured out a way to live on that, awesome. If you make $200k but carry around $40k in credit card debt that never seems to decrease, that's a no.

I met my husband in my early 30s though. I might have more of a floor if I were dating in my 40s.

Man or woman. Combined income should be enough to provide multiple kids a modest but good quality of life and allow us to save for retirement. This means we should have enough to retire in a low COLA area and have enough to pay for preschool, live in an area with decent public schools, and have enough saved up to supplement kids' student loans when they attend in-state college.
