Disagree. Pulp Fiction was the best picture that year. It was so innovative.

I thought it was about a how Forrest overcomes his mental, physical, and social challenges from childhood to adulthood, and the impact he has on the various people in his life while illustrating the events of the era. Even though he didn't hook up with Jenny until the end, his legacy lives on with his child. The Elvis part always makes me chuckle.

This. The enjoyment comes from recognizing the events and cultural touchstones from that era.

Isn’t it obvious? Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. There are so many themes. Look at how many lives Forrest impacted just by being himself.

I just watched the movie for the first time. It was nice. I’m confused about what the point it was trying to make was. That don’t take life too seriously? It’s a crapshoot? I do feel bad for Jenny. She has such a tragic life while Forrest just glides through life.
