I was in a Krispy Kreme store myself - the minis are tiny but the regular donuts have definitely shrunk too. I wasn't complaining because they had a 2-for-1 special but still...

If they have made the doughnuts smaller, it’s probably because of requirements to display calories and not inflation. Doughnuts are cheap.
Nothing is 'cheap' when it costs 50% more to produce than it did a year before. Its about the companies bottom line. If each donut was .06 per a production cost in 2019 and they are 0.12 per a production cost now either the the product has to shrink or the company does.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if the regular sized ones have gotten smaller. I read a big container of frying oil cost $25 a couple of years ago, and it cost over $60 now. Don't assume that these companies are trying to cheat you, they are just trying to stay afloat.

If they have made the doughnuts smaller, it’s probably because of requirements to display calories and not inflation. Doughnuts are cheap.

I got them recently and they were definitely bigger than an oreo cookie. Maybe you got minis by mistake.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if the regular sized ones have gotten smaller. I read a big container of frying oil cost $25 a couple of years ago, and it cost over $60 now. Don't assume that these companies are trying to cheat you, they are just trying to stay afloat.

The regular size are significantly smaller than 4 years. Not sure when it happened.

We received a box of 6 yesterday as a late Valentines Day present and I was shocked when I opened the box.
They were not much larger than a standard oreo cookie. I swear I am not making this up. They were that small.
I do not recall them ever being that small.
I should have taken a picture.
