I'm pp and I found the food options to be fried, and overall not so tasty.

You won't regret being in the middle of the action with kids.

I haven't been to OC in years, but there is a long board walk with all sorts of things to eat (not a ton to do). We did take a nice sunset cruise, a number of family friendly options for that.

Its swim, eat, repeat.

Thank you. We are traveling with kids. They look to be about A mile apart. Opal sands is my front runner right now, but was thinking maybe it would be better to be in the middle of things? Kids are 7 and 10 so they can walk. Is it very ocean city like? A bit nervous to go there. Haven’t been in a very long time. Thanks.

If you want to be in the action - traveling with kids? I would pick the Sand Pearl.

I found Clearwater to be way more family oriented than I expected, so if I were to go again I would pick Opal Sands, it looks so stately towards the end of the beach and is a little removed from the ice cream shops etc.

Anyone been to either? Sand pearl location looks better, but the rooms look pretty dated. I love the modern beach vibe of Opal Sands, but seems a walk to the beach. Thoughts?
