This was the norm when my kids had snow days there - one year was particularly bad. The parents went to the director and demanded they get paid and apparently they did. This was the Oronocco location, 5+ years ago

All daycares do that. Most charge for holidays and closures and the teachers don’t get paid.

I have two children who attend American Day School in Old Town, Alexandria. Recently, one of the classes had a COVID closure of 10 days - we still paid full tuition. I did not mind paying tuition but now I am hearing ADS staff are not paid during COVID closures. Can anyone confirm if this is true? If so, it seems very unethical.
