This dress is gorgeous. Is there somewhere local that carries them or do you have to order online? I'm going back to the office for the first time in 11 years (and first time since starting a new job a year ago), and I'd love a "uniform" dress like this but my sizing is all out of whack.

Agree, I think flats would look good with this dress, provided it works with your proportions (some women prefer some height with a knee length dress). I also think a very low heel (like a classic Ferragamo low heel) would look really lovely.

I'm not against heels but there's no reason you HAVE to wear them with this dress. Especially if you are uncomfortable in them.

I get it but there are some people that just can’t live without their flats. But they do look horrible. You don’t have to wear 3 inch heels you can wear very comfortable two inch heal.

Also I agree that nude would be the best.

Great dress OP! I also would do a tan heel. I don't like the term nude but along those lines.

+1. The dress is stunning. I would go with nude heels. Red/burgundy works as well.

I love that dress. I'd wear it with knee high dark brown boots or a block heel in camel. Navy and brown is a classic color combo and not weird at all. I actually do think navy and back can look good together, but I wouldn't pair black with this particular dress. Also, this dress is designed to show off a nice pair of earrings so I'd put some effort in there, as well as nice hair and makeup -- the neckline and color are designed to pull attention to your face.

You could do burgundy, orange if you want to be a bit more daring, nude would be more classic. Navy could work, but then you run the risk of looking like a flight attendant.

It's difficult to advise you because workplaces range from super casual to super formal. What are women wearing in your office? If you're looking to move up, what are the women wearing who are in hierarchically higher positions? That dress is lovely, but it is a tad bit formal, although you could always dress it down with casual shoes and a casual bag.

Also, you really need to wear what flatters your figure in terms of lines, and colors that flatter your coloration.

I haven't worn a dress in about 10 years, but I want to start occasionally when we go back to work in person. For some reason, I'm very self-conscious about it. People wear a variety of things at my office, from suits to casual.

I bought this dress to start. What shoes should I wear? Would boots work?
Black seems too close to blue. Brown and blue look odd together. Can I do red?
Also, my H says this dress seems more formal than for work, but he's even more fashion challenged than I am...is he correct?
