lexapro. and holy shit yes it helped. infertility is terrible. i also consulted with the peripartum clinic at medstar (dr perras i think her name is?). you can check mothertobaby.org for research on what meds are safe with ttc and pregnant and for risk/benefit of untreated anxieity versus meds.

i started lexapro while i was still doing retrievals. yes, took it through FET(s) and pregnancy and now breastfeeding. yes, it was safe. yes it helped.

Buspar. non SSRI. no side effects but avoid grapefruit

Zoloft. I did extensive research and consulted at the five trimester clinic at GW- they specialize in mental health before during and after pregnancy. They told me the risk of untreated anxiety/ depression to baby was low birthweight and preterm birth. Zoloft is very safe. If you’re worried about it try exercise/ yoga/ meditation first.

Has anyone been on antidepressants or currently taking anything? Did you take medicine before your FET? Was it safe? I am thinking of taking anxiety medication and wanted to see it helped you through the process.
