I received a sweet “I know it’s early but I’m thinking only of you today” note from guy one (have met twice), and a beautiful card in the mail from guy 2 (seen once but zoomed/talked/texted a lot) that was tender and signed “Love, John.” I had never really gotten a true valentine before today. I am choosing not to be cynical and am assuming both are sincere.

After 4 dates I would hope that he thought that he wanted me to be his "valentine," at least for this year if not forever. So I'd definitely would like to receive a small gesture - a little kid's valentine card, a box of conversation hearts, a small bar of good chocolate, a nice bottle of wine to share, etc.
