Not unless they actually listen to me when I tell them I want it black = fill it to the top. Hate it when they give me "space" for milk when it means less coffee!

I tip every few visits if I’m a regular getting drip, and a dollar if it’s an espresso based drink. The staff is fairly consistent and they pool any tips.

The people who don’t tip usually didn’t work in the service industry. I have and recognize how $1 can go a long way for one of these workers without any strain on my part. I’m Europe, I don’t tip because it’s not part of the culture and they have healthcare and decent wages. But in the US, until the day it’s not part of our culture, I will tip for food and drinks including take out.

At Starbucks, no I do not tip. At the local coffee spot that hires teens and charges much more reasonable prices i pay with a $5 bill and don't take the change. My order would have been over $5 at Starbucks and cost $2.40 at the local place.

I usually don’t but often do for other drinks. I used to work at Starbucks, tips are very welcome but I never expected them. If you are coming in on a busy day and ordering 5 custom Frappuccinos a tip is nice to show you appreciate the effort.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I got to have cash in hand. I don't so it with credit card. Forget he tipping part. The germs part is very, very strange. The barista would want you to stay home even if you tip. I promise.

No, I don't tip at coffee places. They are hourly employees who aren't performing any service above and beyond the standard of their job (usually). Pouring a coffee certain doesn't require a tip for service.

If you're squeamish about germs on your lid, I recommend you never go out to eat anywhere. Seriously.

I do, usually, but it honestly seems like very little effort for a $1 tip. And sometimes they grab it themselves and they think they're doing me a huge favor but they're not washing their hands after handling money and the gross screen, so those germs are getting on my cup and lid.
