I know nothing about cars and yours might be too new for this. But I had the same issue with my Routan and it was the neutral safety switch. This video shows you how to bypass it to start the car.

Not likely. The car would die while he was driving home if it was the alternator

I highly doubt it’s the battery unless you left the lights on overnight. If battery is completely drained you will need to drive around to recharge. At least an hour

If you have time to kill, call them back to jump your car, then drive around for 1 hour. Park at auto zone and restart. If it starts it is probably fine, otherwise just get a new battery at autozone.

I would tow it to the dealer as it may not be the battery. You can buy a battery and install it yourself.

I use the kind that clamps onto the battery posts. Rarely use it but when I do it's a lifesaver.

15 min of driving is not enough to recharge a dead battery. And your portable jump starter doesn’t have enough power. Any place can change your battery, shouldn’t be much of a price difference but call ahead and ask if they have the battery for your car and how much they charge.

Get a jump and drive to autozone.

Last year I had car starting problems, got a new battery, still had problems, turned out the new battery was bad. If I remember right, it should show over 14 v. You can actually keep your jump starter connected while the car is running to see what's happening. I did have a problem one other time which turned out to be a car usb charger (the kind you plug in to what in years past was the cigarette lighter socket) which was drawing power if a charger cable was connected to it, even with no device plugged in. And I've had cars that had power drains, sometimes never explained.

I think autozone will test your charging system for free, they can do it in the parking lot.

Keep in mind this is also affected by what you have been doing before you parked--if you drove enough to bring up the charge in the battery. Check for any dashboard lights too.

What does it sound like when you try the key? Is it clicking. Does the horn and lights work?

I have a 2019 honda odyssey and it didnt start in the parking lot. I got it jumped and it worked fine and then I got home after about driving for 15 minutes. I checked the battery at home and it showed as 12.1 V which I believe is low. After about 30 minutes I decide to go to autozone and get a new battery. The car wont start again. The battery is only 2 years old and I am surprised the battery has already discharged enough that it wont start again this quickly after only 30 minutes of parking. I used a voltmeter and it shows 12.1 V which is low but then I went to my other car and it showed 12.2 (small sedan). should I be expecting the sedan to stop starting pretty soon also? Could there be something else that is wrong with the odyssey besides the battery? Thank you.
