This is what we got my teenager. Not AWD but otherwise very good.

Used Volvo. And driving teachers don't teach anything about driving on highways. There's nothing to know except drive with the flow of traffic.

We just bought one—it was for sale on Facebook marketplace and I asked to see it 20 minutes after it was posted. It turned out that the seller had it at her parents’ home close to our neighborhood because they were helping with the sale (retired) and the mother had actually witnessed the accident that left me needing a new vehicle. We paid $9k for a 2010 and DH and DS spent today doing a bunch of maintenance on it that the seller had neglected (brakes, battery, spark plugs) plus we had the Toyota dealer do a few other items.

i would go with a 1998 pontiac Bonneville if you can find one, they are good reliable cars and they have good crash safty as well.

Yes I have a dl. I went with a fake 5 star review driving school in this area. Nova driving school thank you for nothing! They didn't teach me parking or driving on highways and just waived the road test and gave me a dl. I am not confident enough yet.

Do you have a driver's license? If so you can have a rental car dropped off at your house. If not, you need to start with a driving school.

And how to find one without getting help from someone driving around? Just need a practice car. Have no family or nearby friends to teach me or help me. Just want a car for convenience to practice on. I don't live far from work.
