Honestly I think it's cool how many go to non elite colleges. Most represented college for Team USA is University of Utah, then University of Minnesota.

Yes, being an Olympic-caliber athlete is obviously a "hook." Particularly if they are a URM or 1st gen.

OP here again. I am sure that they had the academic qualifications too. I was just pointing out that this shows the competition that your DD or DS is up against -- world class athletes.
