Curious what you consider a good age/mileage/price for a first time driver. We are about to be in that club and would appreciated some guidance.

We found our kids’ car from a listing on a message board at work., but this was in 2019 (before prices went sky-high).

I talked to my mechanic about this.He suggested FB marketplace and then having it looked at by a mechanic. He said he has found some older cars, but good condition, for under $5000. We can't spend $20k on a CRV with 100k miles.
