My kid’s class has been closed for a positive Covid case and I haven’t been isolating him since he tested negative on day 5. We’ve done indoor play spaces. I think it’s fine to go (and know this is different because your kids had Covid), but I also understand others asking to avoid indoor spaces out of courtesy because the ten day classroom closures are awful.

But outdoor playgrounds? Spend all day there!

Id avoid the indoor play-places as a curtesy, but definitely take them to do something outside!

I would keep them out of there as much to protect people from them possibly still shedding the virus as to keep them from picking up something else like a stomach bug while their immune system is still low.

I’m very “live with Covid” but avoiding indoor play areas for 10 days is an extremely mild inconvenience, as you say. Go outside!! You can go to the indoor play place next week.

Thanks! I hadn’t checked the weather - dumb move and just assumed it would be super cold. Will do something outside. Hike or playground (we have a few that I know that won’t have people during the school day.)

I have been to indoor play areas recently, and I assumed that meant exposure. People there are at the extreme end of the risk scale.

But also - it will be nice this week, and playgrounds would be even less of a risky move.

My kids have been quarantined/isolated in our house for over 2 weeks. They both tested positive a week after my husband and I got sick. They have both passed their 5 day isolation but can’t return to daycare until after 10 days. They each had mild symptoms which cleared over 72 hours ago. If I rapid test them tomorrow and they are negative - am I the worst for having them wear masks and going to an indoor play area?
